Just thought I’d post this in advance, just in case I am too busy enjoying Christmas ;)

Tight People

You know what really gets up my nerves is tight, rich people. Now don’t get me wrong I know a lot of wealthy people, but they aren’t like some of the people I have encountered in my life.

Now prices have gone up on bread again, 2nd price increase this month, which is a little disappointing, but it’s not a major increase. I’m talking 10, 20 cent markup. Like I said, nothing too serious.

At least that’s what I thought.

How wrong I was.

Several customers came in for the day, ordering there usual loaves of bread, aware of the price increase, but no one said one word.

As the day went on, a well known customer pulled in the bakery with her new BMW.

She walks in and orders her usual and notices the price increase, making it aware by complaining.

Mind you this customer owns a home with a tennis court, has the latest car and dressed in smart clothes and she is complaining.

My God, this woman would easily pass of as a millionaire and she is complaining about 20 cents!

BAH! you ungrateful pig! There are dozens of people starving in the world and are very grateful for what little they have and here this lady is, a lady who has it all, house, car, clothes, food when she wants, etc, yet she complains about 20 cents.

I’ll tell you these people are bloody tight asses, but I guess it’s how they became rich in the first place.

ICE

We all carry our mobile phones with names & numbers stored in its memory but nobody, other than ourselves, knows which of these numbers belong to our closest family or friends.

If we were to be involved in an accident or were taken ill, the people attending us would have our mobile phone but wouldn’t know who to call.

Yes, there are hundreds of numbers stored but which one is the contact person in case of an emergency? Hence this “ICE” (In Case of Emergency) Campaign. The concept of “ICE” is catching on quickly. It is a method of contact during emergency situations. As cell phones are carried by the majority of the population, all you need to do is store the number of a contact person or persons who should be contacted during emergency under the name “ICE” ( In Case Of Emergency).

The idea was thought up by a paramedic who found that when he went to the scenes of accidents, there were always mobile phones with patients, but they didn’t know which number to call. He therefore thought that it would be a good idea if there was a nationally recognized name for this purpose.

In an emergency situation, Emergency Service personnel and hospital Staff would be able to quickly contact the right person by simply dialing the number you have stored as “ICE.”

For more than one contact name simply enter ICE1, ICE2 and ICE3 etc. A great idea that will make a difference! Let’s spread the concept of ICE by storing an ICE number in our Mobile phones today!

Facebook

I can’t get enough of Facebook, it has it all, I know it’s been out for ages now, but I have to say something about it. :)

Unlike Myspace which is used more for emo’s, school kids, party people and other cool cats, Facebook seems more appropriate for Uni students and corporate business people.

It’s no wonder why Facebook is costing businesses billions of dollars, it’s just so addictive with it’s cool little features and applications, making social networking more fun than ever.

Ditch that bloody ad driven Myspace account you got sitting there and join the Facebook revolution. ;)

Roo Shoes

From extreme sports to just having some fun, these amazing new shoes are taking the world by storm.

Forget about the pogo stick, Roo Shoes are the new trend, taking sports to a new level. You can walk over 2 - 3 meters in just one step and jump 1 - 2 meters high, making this the craziest thing since the trampoline.

I had a go today at fountain gate and was a little scared about face planting, but with a little time and practice it’s all good.

Make sure to check out this crazy, new trend and maybe give it a go if you have the courage. :)

The Roo Shoe can be found at 1 / 115 Stanley Street, West Melbourne, 3003 in Victoria, Australia.

The Dark Knight

A new installment of Batman is coming out mid 2008, The Dark Knight, and the trailer looks awesome!

I got updated the other day with some fresh new photos of what’s to be expected and how some pictures of how the characters will look.

The Dark Knight is expected to come out in June next year, which is quite a wait, but I’m sure many of us are looking forward to it. :)

Gotta Pop ‘Em All

Talk about addiction! I received an e-mail from a good friend with a link to this game called Bloons. The game involves a monkey (you) and tons of ballons to pop with darts.

This game took me like 1 hour to finish and yes I know I suck, you don’t have to tell me because I already know. :)

Why not try the game yourself and see how you fair up. Play Bloons.

Mac Attack!

Someone give me a change of pants, I think I just wet myself! Apple just released there new iMacs and they are looking hotter than ever! Not only are they slick, sexy and slim, they are crammed packed with everything you need and they just got a whole lot better!
