In My Blind Rage…
Published 1 year, 6 months ago in My life.I jumped on ebay this morning and searched for some wireless routers. One caught my eye, with the ending time at 4:30pm, which I thought was perfect. So I logged in, hit watch this item and waited patiently during the day.
When I got home at 4pm, I jumped on ebay and checked the listing with 30 minutes remaining. With that I opened my date and time options and calculated the timings. After minutes of fiddling and countless page refreshes of the ebay page, I finally got the seconds spot on. At exactly 4:30pm on my clock the item would finish.
When it came down to the last minute, I refreshed the page, happy to see that the current bid was still only at $10. I clicked place bid and entered $20 in. I waited for last 5 seconds and hit Bid. With only 3 Seconds left, the page loaded to another section where you have to confirm bid. NO! I totally forgot about the option and frantically fumbled on my mouse trackpad to hit confirm. But by the time I hit confirm I was 1 second too late!
Don’t you hate it when that happens. ARGH!

I was a bit of an ebay addict for a while but I found I was spending too much money on things that I didn’t really need so I’ve given it the flick. I know what you mean though.

Yeah, your’e not the only one. My computer is so old and slow it happens all the time to me. Don’t you hate it when you are in the last minute sitting there timing it,you refresh the page,then wait and wait and wait hoping to get your higher bid in knowing you did have plenty of time originally. Then you wait some more and wait and wait and wait, (as I said my computer is soooo sloooowwww), for the confirm button,when it comes up you hit it so hard time and time again to get your bid in and finally yeah Iv’e got a bid in, but then, SORRY THE AUCTION HAS ENDED. So bloody frustrating I feel like smashing the thing. Ahh the joys of eBay and computers
talk about it, that’s what worst, compter lag. There is this sniper auction thing, where it can bid at the last 5 seconds or something. I worked out that it takes 3 seconds for the confirm bid so I usually confirm with 4 seconds left, leaving me with a second.

Did you pick up a good router at Pccasegear I use them too… great value and you don’t have to put up with the ebay cheating that happens.
No I didn’t, but I jumped on e-cycled.com and put a wanted lising for a wireless router. Someone has offered me one to pick up now
